What is wild crafting? It is simply the harvesting of plants that grow without being cultivated, plants that grow in the wild. Some of these plants are native to North America but many were brought here by colonial settlers from Europe. I don’t have a lot of experience with this craft but I am keen to learn and lucky for me, Elisha has a lot of knowledge in this area.

It’s been two weeks since I have written anything. It’s been two weeks since I have meditated or done qi gong also. These are the practices I have chosen in an attempt to connect deeply to that part of myself that is God. To live more often in a state of joyfulness. To embrace living in a deep way. I recently spent a week consciously avoiding multitasking. It was more difficult than I expected. I love to listen to CD’s of books or music when I drive and like most modern mothers, my phone is never far away. I was surprised how often I found myself reaching for my phone. Of course it is no longer just a phone but really a handheld computer. I use it for e-mail, internet searches, twitter, facebook and LinkdIn. I didn’t think of myself as someone who was constantly tethered to her phone but when I consciously stopped multi-tasking the truth was revealed
